General Terms and Conditions 2018
The managers of Fishstock Brixham 2018 will use their best endeavours to ensure that the line-up of the bands on the day is as listed in the printed Programme and on the Website, but we reserve the right to change the line up before or after the purchase of a ticket of entry to the festival. If there is a change in the line-up, Fishstock Brixham will not refund the cost of entry to the festival. Entry is purchased on these terms.
Fishstock Brixham 2018 has a strict anti-drugs policy, including for so-called “Legal Highs”. Festival goers should be aware that they may be stopped and searched by S.I.A. Registered Security personnel on entering the premises or at any time during the festival. Illegal or misused Drugs, including “Legal Highs”, will be confiscated.
Anyone found in possession of illegal drugs, banned substances or “Legal Highs” will be removed from the premises. The facts will be reported to the Police.
At their discretion the organisers of this event reserve the right to refuse entry to any person(s) to the festival, even after purchase of a valid ticket of entry.
Parents should bring proof of age for 15 year olds and under who are claiming free of charge admission. Otherwise full price may be charged. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
You are respectfully reminded that this site is ordinarily a working fish market. While every precaution has been taken to ensure your safety, you should take care to look out for possible hazards, especially uneven surfaces that may give rise to tripping and slipping.
Please keep away from the harbour edge and do not cross the Yellow quay-edge marking.
PLEASE TAKE CARE WHEN GETTING ON AND OFF THE BOATS. Watch out for slippery surfaces and use both hands on gangways.
Remember: Bar staff are instructed to observe the “Challenge 25” scheme rules.
Drink Aware: Respect alcohol, respect yourself. Be sensible with alcoholic drinks. Drinking sensibly means drinking safely! /
All vessels on view are subject to operational requirements and safety precautions. For this reason some vessels will only be “Open to the Public” as tides and duties permit.
Please follow any instructions given by Fishstock Brixham Stewards and the Crew of fishing and other vessels.

This access statement does not contain personal opinions as to our suitability for those with access needs, but aims to accurately describe the facilities and services that we offer all our guests/visitors.
Access Statement for Fishstock Brixham Seafood & Music Event, 8th September 2018
Fishstock Brixham is a one-day fundraising event held in aid of the Fishermen's Mission charity No 832822 (SCO39088).
Its location is the Brixham Fish Market and surrounding lorry park at TQ5 8AW.
The site is level, fully concreted with no steps and with level access from the streets outside.
The site is gated and fenced, with all access ways suitable for wheelchair users and mobility impaired pedestrians.
Toilet facilities on site include those suitable for wheelchair users and mobility impaired pedestrians.
The event is run by a crew of volunteers, all of whom have experience with and sympathy for the elderly, infirm or mobility impaired persons.
The site is ordinarily a Fish Market and is not normally open to the public.
For hygiene reasons, the Local Authority does not allow dogs on site. This prohibition applies also to registered assistance dogs.
A free of charge dog creche is provided during the day to 6pm for short-term kenneling of pet dogs while visitors enjoy the event. These kennels are provided with shelter and fresh drinking water.

The event is served by Park & Ride buses from Churston, near Brixham. Stagecoach buses run at regular intervals through the day, with the last bus from the Town Centre at 2337. Normal charges apply.
Buses terminate at the Town Centre, a distance of about half mile, including undulations, from the venue. There is a taxi rank next to the bus stop area.
Visitors traveling by car should use the Oxen Cove / Freshwater Quarry Car Park where there is long-stay provision, but there are no specific disabled bays. The car park is level hard surface access along a part of the SW Coastal Footpath to the quayside areas and town.
Brixham Town Centre Car Park has disabled bays, but parking is limited to 3 hours.
The nearest mainline Rail Station is Paignton.
Car Parking and Arrival
The event does not have its own parking facilities. Public car parks should be used.
The access to the site is level, hard and smooth under foot.
Main Entrance, Reception and Ticketing Area

Attractions (displays, exhibits, rides etc.)
The live theatre kitchens have adequate amounts of under-cover seating, with chefs provided with headset microphones for audience to hear the cookery demonstration descriptions.
Overhead mirrors assist the audience to follow the seafood cookery instructions.
The 2 sound stages are provided with adequate seating for audiences to relax and enjoy the musical and dance entertainment.
Portaloo facilities have been hired for the day.
Those suitable for disabled persons are located in several parts of the site.
Public Conveniences are located on the adjacent quayside walkway.
All catering facilities are mobile pop-ups, setting up for the one day event. There are adequate patio style tables and chairs, with and without arms provided for customers.
Lighting is ambient by day.
Site arc-lights are used during the hours of twilight and darkness.
The Churston Park & Ride field is provided with arc-lighting tower for the event.
Retail traders are mobile pop-ups, setting up for the one-day event.
The fish market hall is converted into an exhibition and trade stand area for the day, with carpeting laid and taped to the concrete floors.
The carpeting is stuck down with Duct Tape. Dampness risks the tape coming unstuck. Beware!
Customers are advised to take care of slipping and tripping hazards that may arise during the day.
All volunteer stewards receive disability awareness training in advance of the one day event.
Medical First Aid facilities provided by St John Ambulance.
Fire safety and evacuation procedures are established and all volunteer stewards receive appropriate training in advance of this one-day event.
